Privacy Policy for FieldBill
FieldBill is developed and published by Steve Sehie. This Privacy Policy explains what data FieldBill accesses, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to users.
Summary
- FieldBill does not require an account.
- FieldBill does not operate a cloud backend for storing customer, job, invoice, or audio-note data.
- Most FieldBill data stays on your device unless you choose to share or export it.
- Some optional features rely on third-party, store, or device services, such as Google Places, your device calendar, your chosen email app, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play.
Data FieldBill Accesses and Uses
FieldBill may access or store the following information to provide the app’s core invoicing features:
- Business profile details you enter, such as business name, phone number, email, and address
- Customer and job information, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, job addresses, notes, labor, materials, and invoice totals
- Optional audio notes that you record inside the app
- Optional location information, if you choose a location-assisted address feature
- Calendar event details, if you choose to add a visit or follow-up to your device calendar
- Purchase status and app store transaction details needed to unlock or restore FieldBill Pro
How FieldBill Uses Data
FieldBill uses data only to support the app’s user-facing features, including:
- Creating, editing, and storing invoices
- Tracking jobs, parts, labor, and invoice history
- Recording and attaching optional audio notes to a job
- Suggesting or filling addresses faster
- Creating calendar events at your request
- Opening an email draft or export flow at your request
- Checking FieldBill Pro purchase status and restoring purchases
FieldBill does not sell personal data. FieldBill does not use customer or job data for advertising.
When Data Is Shared
FieldBill shares data only in the following cases:
- Address search text may be sent to Google Places when you type or request address suggestions
- Calendar details are sent to your device calendar only when you choose to create an event
- Invoice details, customer details, and optional audio-note attachments may be shared with your selected email app or mail provider only when you choose to email or export them
- Purchase status and app store transaction details may be processed by RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play only to complete purchases, unlock FieldBill Pro, and restore purchases
- Data may also be disclosed if required by law
FieldBill does not share your customer, job, or invoice data with third parties for sale or advertising purposes.
Permissions
Depending on the features you use, FieldBill may request:
- Microphone access to record optional audio notes
- Location access to help fill addresses faster
- Calendar access to create events you request
These permissions are optional and are requested in context. If you deny a permission, the related feature may not work, but the rest of the app can still be used.
Storage, Retention, and Deletion
FieldBill stores business, customer, job, invoice, and optional audio-note data locally on your device.
Because FieldBill does not operate a cloud account system for this data:
- data remains on the device until you remove it by uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s local storage
- exported or emailed copies are retained by the destination you choose, such as your email account
- third-party, store, or device services you choose to use, such as Google Places, your calendar provider, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, or Google Play, handle data under their own policies
Security
FieldBill is designed to minimize data sharing by keeping most data on-device. When data is transmitted to third-party, store, or platform services that you choose to use, such as Google Places, your email provider, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, or Google Play, it is transmitted using the platform or service connection and is subject to that provider’s security and privacy practices.
Children’s Privacy
FieldBill is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version should be published at the active privacy policy URL associated with FieldBill.
